LiveSpace has dramatically increased the capacity of a commercial portfolio management system by reducing the time for transaction processing, holdings calculations and performance generation. Processing times are reduced by a factor nearly linear to the number of machines participating in the cluster - if more capacity is needed, add another machine to the cluster. Administration of distributed processes is simplified through the LiveSpace web-based console which monitors, in real-time, each node in the cluster including the status of any processes being executed.
